The co-founder, co-owner and CEO of Saveurs Vivre GmbH began his training at a larger Zurich catering company, where he got to know various businesses. Even during his apprenticeship, he was able to take on a great deal of responsibility and was actively supported. Together with Joël Pfister, he attended the promotion of gifted students at the Zurich General Vocational School during vocational training.

After completing his apprenticeship, Caponio completed military service, where he was able to gain initial but valuable leadership experience. He also worked at the Memories restaurant in Bad Ragaz, the gourmet restaurant run by Sven Wassmer and awarded 3 Michelin stars and 18 Gault Millau.

Caponio is now a trained beer, sake, cigar, cheese, wine and spirits sommelier and attended the European Bartender School in London. In the meantime, he has decided to train as a Dipl. Hotelier and restaurateur HF to start at the renowned Swiss Hotel Management School Lucerne SHL.

Caponio also impresses with its enormous network. Whether through his membership in the Riesbach guild in Zurich, through various catering contracts with top CEOs or through close cooperation with local suppliers — Elia Caponio knows them all.

His conviction to found Saveurs Vivre GmbH was idealistic: to change gastronomy. He wants to combine gastronomy with quality, enjoyment, passion and ethics in order to create a holistically sustainable experience.
